Walk It Out

This Wii platform game gets players off the couch and walking to the beat of over a hundred hot songs like the Black Eyed Peas’s “Boom Boom Pow” and Demi Lovato’s “La La Land.”

Players explore an in-game world created with each step they take, discovering new places on every walk. The more the player steps, the richer the in-game world becomes.

Charts and graphs show calories burned, distance traveled, steps taken and more.

Accepts input from the DanceDanceRevolution Wii Controller, Wii Remote and Nunchuk, or Wii Balance Board.

Assassin's Creed III

The third installment of the Assassin's Creed video game franchise is set in the American Colonies between 1753 and 1783, portraying pivotal moments leading up to and including the Revolutionary War.

The story line is about a Native American assassin fighting to protect his land and his people who help ignite the flames of revolution in the colonies.

Due for release at the end of October, the game by Ubisoft reportedly replicates the guns, uniforms, and everyday life of the Revolutionary War period with some accuracy rather than simply using its history as a set piece for gaming.

The game, which comes out this October, is not just using the American Revolution as a set piece for blood and gore. In recreating historic battles, the developers have made the weaponry perform authentically. Muskets cannot shoot more than about 50 yards and are relatively inaccurate. Cannons can be moved up and down, forward and backward, but not side to side.

George Washington is reportedly a central figure in the game, depicted through speeches and giving commands on the battlefield.
